Welcome to Johannesburg!!!.  Arrival in Johannesburg with transfer to hotel.  Please note that the usual check-in time is 3:00 PM, so you can take some time to settle in and rest. Spend your evening relaxing and getting ready for the exciting sightseeing adventures that await you tomorrow.

Overnight in Johannesburg

After breakfast, meet with the tour guide at the hotel in Johannesburg and depart to explore the vibrant sights and sounds of Soweto and Johannesburg, Africa's economic powerhouse. The tour delves into the political and historical significance of the struggle against apartheid, and visits key memorial sites, such as the Apartheid Museum, Soweto's suburbs, and informal settlements.

Our first stop is at Apartheid Museum, exploring the exhibits that cover the turbulent history of the Apartheid era in South Africa. It offers a comprehensive overview of South Africa's Apartheid era, from the onset of segregation to the implementation of the Apartheid system, and covers all of the factors that have shaped the country's 20th-century history, including the discovery of gold, black consciousness, and the first democratic elections. Next, depart for Mandela House and spend some time touring the national monument and learning about Nelson Mandela's personal life and the families that he lived with from 1946 to 1990.

Continue to Constitutional Hill in Braamfontein, a former prison and military fort that now houses South Africa's Constitutional Court. Explore the isolation cells, where famous political activists such as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Walter Sisulu were held, the Women's Gaol that housed Winnie Mandela and others, and many other cells, as well as the awaiting trial building. Next head to the Hector Peterson Memorial, to pay respects to those who lost their lives during the Soweto uprising, and learn about the pivotal moment in the anti-Apartheid struggle.

The tour concludes with a visit to the cultural hub of Vilakazi Street and the historic suburb of Orlando West before your guide drives you back to your Johannesburg hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Mpumalanga. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge in Africa's Iconic Kruger National Park.

It boasts stunning canyons, rivers, mountains, and impressive caves that visitors can explore. Overnight in Mapumalanga

Indulge in a scrumptious breakfast and get ready for an exhilarating morning safari at the Kruger National Park, one of Africa's vast game reserves. To witness the animals in their most active state, wake up early and venture out in an open vehicle with an experienced guide, who will show you the various landscapes ranging from grassy plains to riverine forests.

During the safari, be on the lookout for the "Big Five," which includes lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos, as well as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and diverse bird species. Enhance your knowledge of the animal's habitat and behavior and get a better understanding of the delicate equilibrium of life in the African wilderness.

Once the safari is over, head back to the lodge for a relaxed lunch and some free time to unwind and appreciate the natural surroundings.

Overnight in Mapumalanga

After breakfast, we will leave the lodge and drive to Johannesburg, but first, we will take the scenic route through the famous Panorama Route. This is a stunning drive that offers breathtaking views of the Blyde River Canyon, the third-largest canyon in the world, as well as waterfalls, natural rock formations, and lush vegetation. We will stop at various viewpoints along the way, including God's Window, where you can see the magnificent vistas of the Lowveld and the Drakensberg Mountains.

We will also visit Bourke's Luck Potholes, a series of natural rock formations created by centuries of erosion, and the charming town of Pilgrim's Rest, a living museum of the gold rush era. Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and support local vendors.

We'll stop for lunch (At own expense) at a local restaurant before continuing our journey to Johannesburg airport for your flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival in Cape Town, transfer to the hotel. The evening is at leisure.

The day is free at leisure. Cape Town has plenty of things to see and do to make the most of your time.  Explore the V&A Waterfront, wander around the shops, cafe and restaurants, or pre-boo one of our suggested Add-ons -
