Begin your day with a delightful buffet breakfast at the hotel and then embark on a full-day guided tour to explore one of the Seven Wonders of the world - the Great Pyramids of Giza. These pyramids, which include Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, were once considered by the Greeks to be a marvel of the world. It is astonishing to learn that a single pyramid is constructed from 2.3 million blocks, each weighing around two and a half tons. The sheer enormity of this architectural wonder is enough to leave one in awe, a feeling that countless writers and artists have tried to capture throughout the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is especially fascinating as its interior burial chambers are open to the public for inspection.

Located close to the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates back to the time of Chephren (2620 BC). This incredible statue, made from natural yellowish limestone and standing at a height of 65 feet and length of 187 feet, is a unique combination of a Pharaoh's head with a lion's body. After visiting the Pyramids, you can take a quick trip to the Papyrus Institute or a perfume shop.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant, and after that, you will be transported back to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and unwind at your own pace.

Learn about the history of Ancient Egypt and the story of the Sphinx, guardian of the Giza Necropolis for over 5000 years. The show starts with the story of the Sphinx who has been the vigilant guardian of the city of the dead for five thousand years. The show also depicts the story of building the pyramids and relates the history of great figures of ancient Egypt such as Thutmosis IV, Akhnaten, Nefertiti, and Tut Ankh Amon.

Housing nearly all the tombs of the kings of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, the Valley of the Kings was designed to help hide the burial places of the kings to prevent looting. One of the most famous tombs here is the tomb of Tutankhamun. We will have the opportunity to explore some of the tombs. Next, we move to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut was the wife to Thutmose II but became pharaoh after he died. This mortuary temple was modeled after Mentuhotep’s but at a much larger scale. As we continue our sightseeing, we will move to Deir elMedina, which is the ancient village of the craftsmen of the Valley of the Kings. Our last site to visit will be the Colossi of Memnon where you will see two (nearly 60 feet tall) seated statues of Amenhotep III. These statues were once the entrance to Amenhotep’s mortuary temple.

Return back to the Ship for Lunch around 12:00 noon. Post lunch visit Luxor Temple. It was built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty.
