In the early morning, you'll be transferred to the train station for your journey to Machu Picchu, the 'Lost City of the Incas' (7,900 feet). Machu Picchu, once considered a legend, was rediscovered in 1911 by explorer Hiram Bingham. Situated 2,430 meters above sea level in a breathtaking tropical mountain forest, it stands as one of the most remarkable achievements of the Inca Empire at its peak. The intricate stonework, with its giant walls, terraces, and ramps, appears as though it has been naturally sculpted from the rock face. After exploring, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Following lunch, we’ll take a bus back to Aguas Calientes and then board the train to Poroy rail station. Upon arrival you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in Cusco.

We’ll then stroll through Hatun Rumiyoq, a narrow Inca street famous for its precise arrangement of large stones. It is believed to have been the palace of the sixth Inca king, Inca Roca. Be sure to admire a particularly notable stone with twelve perfectly fitted angles.
Finally, we’ll visit the Cusco Cathedral to uncover its secrets and appreciate its beautiful atriums and invaluable 17th and 18th-century paintings from the Cusco school.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore at your leisure.
