Upon arrival at Buenos Aires Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel (standard check-in time is 3:00 PM). After breakfast, depart from your hotel and take a drive along "9 de Julio," the world’s widest avenue, passing the stunning Colón Theatre, an iconic opera house. Continue on to Plaza de Mayo, home to the Government House and the original City Hall. Here, step inside the Metropolitan Cathedral to marvel at its grand ceilings, impressive stained glass, marble columns, and artwork. Next, head to the colorful La Boca district, where you can enjoy a brief walk down "Caminito," filled with souvenir shops and vibrant tango dancers. No trip to Buenos Aires is complete without experiencing a live tango performance. Originating in the late 19th century in the city’s working-class neighborhoods, tango blends several musical rhythms. Initially danced only by men, its music featured instruments like flutes, violins, and guitars. Over time, the flutes were replaced by the "bandoneón" (a type of accordion), giving tango its signature sound, made famous by legendary musicians such as Astor Piazzolla and Aníbal Troilo. After savoring a delicious dinner and watching an incredible tango performance at one of the city's renowned tango houses, you'll return to your hotel around midnight.

After an early breakfast, check out and head to the airport for your flight to Iguazu Falls.
Upon arriving in Iguazu, you’ll make your way directly to the Argentinian National Park, where you'll be surrounded by lush jungle and the powerful waterfalls. This side of the falls offers close-up views from pathways that run alongside the water. Your visit includes the iconic Devil's Throat, the largest waterfall in the park. Take the train to the Upper Circuit (1,700m), where you can enjoy panoramic views of the falls. Arriving at Devil’s Throat, you’ll witness its awe-inspiring power—150 meters (492 feet) long and 80 meters (262 feet) high, its horseshoe shape creates a breathtaking cascade. From there, walk about 3 km (1.87 miles) along the Iguazú River canyon to the Lower Circuit (1,500m), where you’ll encounter vibrant local fauna and flora, all while feeling the constant roar of the waterfalls.
Afterwards, drive to your hotel on the Brazilian side of the falls. Once you’ve checked in, take the rest of the evening to relax and unwind.

This morning, you’ll explore Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side, which offers the best vantage points for taking in the full scale of the falls. From the walkways, you'll enjoy sweeping panoramic views of all 275 falls, stretching an impressive mile across.
Leave your hotel in Brazil and drive to the Iguassu National Park. Once there, take a leisurely walk along the paths, surrounded by lush vegetation, vibrant butterflies, and cascading waterfalls. Follow the 1.5 km (1 mile) trail leading to a spectacular panoramic view of Devil’s Throat. From this viewpoint, you’ll be able to appreciate the stunning views of other notable Argentine sites, such as the Two Sisters and Bozzeti waterfalls, the Superior Circuit, and San Martin Island—famous for being the filming location of the movie "The Mission."

Planning a trip to Argentina and Brazil?
Visa requirements: This tour covers both Brazil and Argentina. U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport with at least six months' validity beyond the reentry date to enter these countries. It's also recommended to have at least two blank passport pages for entry stamps.
Starting April 10, 2025, U.S. and Canadian passport holders will need to obtain an individual e-visa to enter Brazil. You can apply through Brazil’s VFS eVisa website, and we offer a detailed guide to assist with the process.
We recommend applying for your visa at least two months before your departure. While the e-Visa usually takes about five business days to process, it's best to apply earlier in case you need to provide additional documentation or correct any details.

Culture and customs: When visiting Argentina and Brazil, it's helpful to be aware of some key cultural differences. In Argentina, expect a warm, expressive culture with a strong emphasis on family, food, and football (soccer). Brazilians also value family, food, and music, and their culture is a rich blend influenced by various groups including African, European, and Indigenous Amazonian peoples.
Weather: Argentina: The climate varies by region. Buenos Aires has mild winters and hot summers, while Patagonia can be much colder. Brazil has a tropical climate with hot and humid weather in most areas, but cooler in the southern regions. Be prepared for rain, especially during the wet season (December to March).
Language: Argentina: Spanish is the official language. Many people in tourist areas speak some English, but it's helpful to know basic Spanish phrases. In Brazil Portuguese is the official language. English is not as commonly spoken outside tourist areas, so learning a few phrases in Portuguese can be useful.
Currency: Argentina: The official currency is the Argentine Peso (ARS). Credit cards are widely accepted, but having cash on hand for smaller purchases is helpful. Brazil: The Brazilian Real (BRL) is the currency. ATMs are readily available, and credit cards are commonly used.
Transportation: Argentina and Brazil have an excellent public transportation system, including buses, metro, and taxis. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the routes and schedules to avoid getting lost.
Electricity: Brazil uses a 110-220 volt electrical system and requires Types C or N plugs, with either two round pins or three round pins. Argentina operates on 220 volts and uses Types C or I plugs, with either two round pins or three flat pins.
We recommend bringing a universal adapter, and a voltage converter if you plan to use personal devices like a hairdryer that don't have a built-in converter.
Air conditioning in some South American hotels may not be as strong or cool as what you're accustomed to in the U.S. or Canada. When available, it's often regulated seasonally and controlled centrally by the hotel.
While your hotels may offer hairdryers, irons, and other small appliances, these amenities are not guaranteed.
Time zone: Argentina is three hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and two hours ahead of Eastern Time (ET). The country does not currently observe Daylight Saving Time, though this can vary each year.
Brazil has four time zones. Rio de Janeiro is 3 hours behind GMT and two hours ahead of ET.
From March to November, when it’s noon in New York City, it’s 2 PM in Rio and Buenos Aires. From April to October, when it's noon in New York City, it’s 1 PM in both Rio and Buenos Aires.
Safety: Both countries are generally safe for tourists, but it's important to stay alert in busy areas like markets, train stations, and tourist spots. Keep your valuables secure and avoid displaying large amounts of cash or expensive electronics.
Tipping: It is customary in both countries. In Argentina, a 10% tip is expected in restaurants if service is not included, while in Brazil, 10% is typically added to the bill, but you can leave extra if you feel the service was exceptional.

Cancellation Policy
- Starting from the booking date until October 11, 2026, a cancellation will incur a $500 per person non-refundable/non-transferable deposit fee, plus any interruption insurance costs if bought.
- From October 12, 2026, to January 9, 2027, cancellation will result in the cancellation of 50% of the tour price
- From January 10, 2027, to April 9, 2027, cancellation will result in the full tour price being charged as cancellation with no possibility of a refund.

Iguazu Falls is absolutely breathtaking, and we had the chance to see them from both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. On our way into Argentina, we stopped by a river where the borders of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay meet. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with a European vibe, offering plenty to explore. The Cathedral was especially striking, as was the Puerto Madero area.
This was an amazing trip with many unforgettable moments. Rio offers stunning beaches and the iconic Christ the Redeemer. Iguazu Falls was absolutely spectacular—a true natural wonder. Buenos Aires gave us the chance to experience tango and the gaucho culture. Unfortunately, we missed the Carnival Show and dinner as it was only available on select nights. Carlos, our tour director, was fantastic, just like all of your directors. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.

This was an outstanding tour! Everything was perfectly organized, from the transportation and excursions to the food, hotels, flights, and recommendations. I would even say it was a life-changing experience. I can't recommend this tour highly enough—it felt like three amazing vacations in one. Our tour director, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the tour and did a fantastic job keeping us informed, organized, safe, and entertained. You couldn't ask for a better guide.

I was truly amazed by the natural beauty of Rio and Iguazu, as well as the architectural grandeur of Buenos Aires. I thoroughly enjoyed the optional Bossa Nova and Tango outings—such rich culture and music. A heartfelt thank you to the warm and welcoming people of Brazil and Argentina. I had an unforgettable time on the Rio, Iguazu Falls, and Buenos Aires tour. It was a perfect blend of diverse experiences in stunning locations. The beauty I witnessed along the way was almost unbelievable. I truly appreciated our Tour Guide, Jose, and all the extra effort he put into making sure we were comfortable in these new places. Seeing the falls from both sides was especially memorable, as each side offered a unique experience I'll never forget. Looking at my photos now, I’m in awe that I was there. I loved the energy of Buenos Aires, and the Tango Show was a night I’ll always remember. The accommodations were excellent for the price. I also appreciated the extra time Jose spent with us on the final day when most of the group moved on to their extensions. He made the most of it by showing us a local flea market and taking us to a genuine local restaurant. I’m grateful for this experience and can’t wait for my next tour with Voyages Hub
