Following your breakfast, begin your day by visiting the Giraffe Center, the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife's main base, renowned for 'Daisy Rothschild.' Engage in an unforgettable experience meeting giraffes eye to eye, offering a genuine feel for the immense size of these graceful creatures. Explore the education center, delving into extensive information about the breeding and conservation efforts focused on Kenya's rarest giraffe species. Gain insights into their behaviors, characteristics, and conservation practices while enjoying an up-close encounter from a raised observation platform.

Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Beads Factory, a pottery establishment renowned for crafting some of the world's most exquisite beads. Witness the entire bead-making process from its inception to the final product. What makes this factory distinctive is its employment of single mothers from underprivileged neighborhoods, providing them with an opportunity to earn a livelihood and support their families. This pottery, ceramic, and bead factory exclusively employs single mothers, creating beautiful gifts and souvenirs that are now exported globally. Explore their collection at the gift shop.

Subsequently, embark on a drive to the former colonial residence of Danish author Karen Blixen, now transformed into a museum. This property, set amidst the picturesque Ngong Hills, gained fame through the book and subsequent film 'Out of Africa.' It's a must-visit for Danes and enthusiasts of African history and romance.

Anticipate returning to your hotel by approximately 3 to 4 pm, granting you leisure time for the remainder of the evening. Spend the night in Nairobi.

Overnight in Nairobi

You'll depart Nairobi and venture towards the breathtaking Lake Nakuru National Park, famed for its multitude of flamingoes adorning the lake's shores with a pink hue. Upon reaching the lodge, a delightful lunch awaits you. Lake Nakuru, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts millions of flamingoes and houses around 55 mammal species, including lions, Rothchild's giraffes, leopards, rhinos, impalas, buffaloes, waterbucks, gazelles, and zebras. The lake teems with hippos, diverse bird species such as waterfowl, and rare fish species like Tilapia graham.

Later in the afternoon, prepare for an enchanting experience on Lake Nakuru. As you step onto the boat, witness the vast expanse of water embraced by surrounding hills and the distant vistas of the Rift Valley. Apart from the iconic flamingos, numerous other bird species including pelicans, cormorants, herons, and more await your discovery during this boat excursion. The lake's edges often attract a diverse array of wildlife. Stay alert for buffalo, zebras, waterbucks, and other herbivores congregating near the water's edge for a drink. It's not unusual to catch sight of rhinos and giraffes leisurely wandering by the lakeside, providing a unique glimpse of these majestic creatures against the scenic lake backdrop. Dinner and overnight in Lake Nakuru

Following breakfast, depart for the renowned Masai Mara Game Reserve, situated in the southeastern corner of Kenya. The Masai Mara and the Mara River play a pivotal role in the renowned Great Annual Wildebeest Migration, and aligning your Masai Mara Safari with this phenomenon can be crucial. The entire day will be spent in the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will have the opportunity to go wildlife viewing. You will have the chance to witness predator-prey interactions, see majestic herds of wildebeest and zebras, and spot elusive big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Later this afternoon, an opportunity awaits to visit a Masai Village and connect with its people. Immerse yourself in their daily singing and dancing, deeply rooted in cultural and sacred importance. Explore a typical Maasai home, gain insights into their way of life, and witness vibrant traditional performances. Moreover, visitors have the chance to acquire handmade items at the Maasai village market. This experience offers a splendid occasion to delve into the rich cultural heritage of the Maasai people within a hospitable and educational setting.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and the opportunity to reflect on the incredible experiences of the day.

Experience the Maasai Mara from a hot air balloon, witnessing a stunning sunrise and the wildlife below. Your adventure begins before dawn, with our drivers picking you up in 4x4 safari vehicles or the option to use your lodge's transport. Arriving at the launch site amidst the darkness of the reserve, the air is filled with the sounds of grazing animals and distant lion roars, creating an atmosphere of anticipation as our team prepares the balloon for flight.
