Itinerary

Get ready! Today you’ll depart for Johannesburg, marking the beginning of your unforgettable Journey Through South Africa and Victoria Falls.

Welcome to South Africa! Upon your arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you’ll be met by a local representative holding a personalized name board. After a warm greeting, you’ll be assisted with your private transfer to the hotel.

Johannesburg, known as the “City of Gold,” is a lively blend of modern skyscrapers, leafy suburbs, and rich history. Depending on your arrival time, the remainder of the day is free to rest after your long flight or to explore the nearby surroundings. You might stroll through Nelson Mandela Square or enjoy dinner at one of Sandton’s upscale restaurants.

Overnight in Johannesburg

After breakfast, meet with the tour guide at the hotel in Johannesburg and depart to explore the vibrant sights and sounds of Soweto and Johannesburg, Africa's economic powerhouse. The tour delves into the political and historical significance of the struggle against apartheid, and visits key memorial sites, such as the Apartheid Museum, Soweto's suburbs, and informal settlements. Our first stop is at the Apartheid Museum, exploring the exhibits that cover the turbulent history of the Apartheid era in South Africa. It offers a comprehensive overview of South Africa's Apartheid era, from the onset of segregation to the implementation of the Apartheid system, and covers all of the factors that have shaped the country's 20th-century history, including the discovery of gold, black consciousness, and the first democratic elections. Next, depart for Mandela House and spend some time touring the national monument and learning about Nelson Mandela's personal life and the families that he lived with from 1946 to 1990.  Next, head to the Hector Peterson Memorial to pay respects to those who lost their lives during the Soweto uprising, and learn about the pivotal moment in the anti-Apartheid struggle.

Overnight in Johannesburg

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your short international flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. On arrival, a representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel, located near the falls.

The afternoon is at leisure to relax and soak up the tranquil ambiance of this charming town. You might choose to unwind by the pool, visit local markets, or embark on an optional sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Watching the sun dip below the horizon while hippos and crocodiles lounge nearby is an unforgettable introduction to the magic of Zimbabwe.

Enjoy the evening at your own pace, perhaps dining at the hotel’s restaurant or sampling local cuisine at a nearby venue.

Overnight in Victoria Falls

After breakfast, set out on a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya — “The Smoke That Thunders.” Your expert guide will lead you along well-marked rainforest trails that reveal spectacular viewpoints of the falls. Feel the mist on your face as you witness the sheer power of the Zambezi River plunging into the gorge below.

This relaxed tour includes multiple vantage points — such as the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, and Rainbow Falls — allowing ample time for photography and quiet reflection. Learn about the region’s geology, flora, fauna, and the legend of the falls’ discovery by David Livingstone.

The afternoon is free for optional activities. Choose from a helicopter flight over the falls, a visit to a local village, bungee jumping, or a river safari. Return to your hotel to enjoy the evening at leisure, perhaps with dinner overlooking the river.

Overnight in Victoria Falls

Today, embark on a full-day excursion to Chobe National Park, famous for its rich wildlife and one of Africa’s largest elephant populations. Crossing into Botswana, you will enjoy exceptional game viewing experiences by both river and land, providing excellent opportunities to see animals in their natural surroundings.

This daily tour begins with a transfer to the Kazungula border post, where you will be met by your Botswana guide. From there, continue directly to the Chobe River for a morning game-viewing cruise. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be served during the cruise.

The river safari concludes around 12:30 PM, after which guests are transferred to Cresta Mowana Safari Lodge, located along the riverbank, for lunch.

Following lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park aboard safari vehicles, offering further chances to spot the park’s abundant wildlife. At the end of the excursion, guests are transferred back to the border before returning to Victoria Falls.

Overnight in Victoria Falls

After breakfast, bid farewell to Victoria Falls and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Johannesburg, where you’ll connect onward to the Kruger National Park region.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your safari lodge, located within or near the park. After check-in, take a moment to freshen up before heading out on your first evening game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle. Guided by professional rangers, you’ll explore the vast wilderness as the sun sets, searching for Africa’s “Big Five” and other nocturnal wildlife emerging for the night.

Return to your lodge for a delicious dinner served under the stars in a traditional boma setting. Fall asleep to the sounds of the African bush — distant roars, rustling trees, and the calls of night birds.

Overnight in Kruger Area

Awake before dawn for coffee or tea before your early morning game drive. The first light of day reveals a landscape teeming with life — elephants moving gracefully through the trees, antelope grazing, and perhaps a lion pride resting after a night’s hunt.

Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and leisure time. Relax by the pool, enjoy a nature walk with your ranger, or simply unwind on your veranda listening to the calls of the bush.

After lunch, depart for your afternoon game drive, when the softer light and cooler air bring many animals back into view. Stop for sundowners in the wild before returning to the lodge for dinner, conversation, and stargazing.

Overnight in Kruger Area

After a final early morning safari and breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel, ideally located near the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

The rest of the day is free to relax or begin exploring. Take a leisurely walk along the waterfront, browse shops and galleries, or enjoy dinner overlooking the harbor with Table Mountain as your backdrop.

Overnight in Cape Town

After breakfast, meet your guide and embark on a full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula. The first stop is Hout Bay, a picturesque coastal suburb that boasts a vibrant fishing harbor. Next, drive along Chapman’s Peak, a scenic coastal road that offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged coastline. Stop at the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern point of the African continent, and take a short hike to the lighthouse for panoramic views of the coastline. After lunch at a local restaurant (own expense), visit Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony. This is a unique opportunity to see these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
Next, head to the historic naval village of Simon’s Town and visit the South African Naval Museum. Finally, on the way back to Cape Town, take a scenic drive through the affluent suburb of Constantia, known for its world-renowned wine estates. The tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Cape Town

Your Cape Town adventure starts with a pickup from your hotel by your guide who will accompany you throughout the day. You will head straight to the ferry dock to catch a boat to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years during the Apartheid era. As you travel to Robben Island, you'll be amazed by the stunning views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. Robben Island is one of the most well-known prisons in the world, and it is here that Mr. Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his imprisonment. During the tour of the island, you'll visit his cell, which remains unchanged since he was incarcerated, and the tour will be led by former political prisoners who provide a unique understanding of the prison's history and the prisoners' plight. After returning to the Victoria and Alfred waterfront, your tour guide will take you on a historical tour of Cape Town, where you'll see various iconic landmarks such as the Parliament buildings, Company's Garden, Slave Auction Tree, Apartheid Museum in District Six, Slave Museum, and the Castle, which is South Africa's oldest building, constructed between 1666 and 1679. Your last stop for the day is Table Mountain, the country's most photographed landmark and a symbol of Cape Town. Take the cable car to the top for views of the city and the ocean. The upper cable station has a restaurant, a curio shop, and some footpaths to explore. If the weather permits, you'll have an opportunity to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of Cape Town from every angle. After the Table Mountain tour, you're free to explore the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where you can relax at a café, enjoy a glass of South Africa's famous wine, or browse through the local art and craft shops. Guests will have the option to either return to the hotel or be dropped off at the V&A Waterfront. If guests choose to be dropped off at the Waterfront, the return to the hotel will be at their own arrangement.

Overnight in Cape Town

Today is free for you to enjoy Cape Town at your own pace. You may choose to relax and take in the city’s stunning natural beauty, explore the vibrant waterfront area, or discover some of Cape Town’s many cultural and historical attractions. Perhaps enjoy shopping and dining at the V&A Waterfront, visit nearby beaches, explore local markets and cafés, or simply unwind while admiring the spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Atlantic coastline. With its unique blend of scenic landscapes, rich heritage, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, Cape Town offers countless opportunities to make the most of your day at leisure.

Evening at Gold Restaurant, you can enjoy Interactive Djembe Drumming, a 14-course African feast, and entertainment. REVIEW

Our Journey Through South Africa and Victoria Falls was beyond amazing! From the moment we landed in Johannesburg, everything was perfectly organized — smooth transfers, friendly guides, and beautiful hotels. The visit to Soweto was eye-opening and gave us a real sense of South Africa’s history. Then came Victoria Falls — absolutely breathtaking! We took a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River and watched hippos playing in the water while the sky turned orange. Kruger was another highlight — we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, and even rhinos on our very first game drive. Cape Town was the perfect ending with Table Mountain, penguins at Boulders Beach, and the gorgeous Cape Winelands. I can’t recommend this trip enough — every day was memorable and seamless.

This was one of the best vacations my wife and I have ever taken! The itinerary was so well-balanced — a mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation. Victoria Falls was a dream; we could hear the roar of the water from our hotel. The guided tour was excellent and our guide shared so many fascinating facts about the area. Kruger was pure magic — we did sunrise and sunset safaris and saw the Big Five! The lodge staff made us feel at home, and the food was wonderful. Then flying to Cape Town felt like entering another world — beaches, wine estates, and that amazing view from Table Mountain. Everything ran like clockwork, and the local guides were exceptional. I’ll cherish this trip forever.

This tour completely exceeded my expectations! I’ve traveled a lot, but this was something truly special. From the cultural depth of Johannesburg and Soweto to the natural power of Victoria Falls, every stop had its own magic. The highlight for me was Kruger National Park — watching elephants cross the road right in front of us and seeing a leopard up close was surreal! The lodges were luxurious but still felt connected to nature. Cape Town wrapped it all up perfectly — the penguins at Boulders Beach were adorable, and our day in the Winelands felt like a scene from a movie. The company handled every detail flawlessly. I’d recommend this journey to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Southern Africa.
