Upon reaching Lima Airport, our representative will be ready to escort you to your hotel in Lima. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your own pace to explore the city. Lima, the Peruvian capital, is a contemporary urban hub steeped in history and housing around 10 million residents. Currently undergoing captivating cultural and economic transformations, the city offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Take this time to relax and rejuvenate after your journey, or venture out to experience the vibrant life of Peru's expansive capital. As an alternative, you also have the option to reserve our Magic Water Circuit with Dinner and Folk Show for an enchanting evening.

Magic Water Circuit Experience with Dinner and Folk Show: USD  140 Per person
The tour begins with a hotel pickup. First, you'll visit the Reserve Park, a serene area featuring stunning neoclassical fountains with intricate designs. Located in Cercado de Lima, the park, built in 1929 and declared a Monumental Urban Environment in 1980, was designed by French architect Claude Sahut. Inside, you'll explore its 13 fountains. After visiting the Magic Circuit of the Waters, you'll head to the Paso Ranch for a buffet dinner and a captivating show featuring traditional dances from Peru's three regions. You will also enjoy a Peruvian Paso horse show. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel.

Overnight in Lima

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before Exploring a city through its food and culture is one of the most rewarding experiences. Start with a visit to a local market, where you'll discover Peruvian products and ingredients, and immerse yourself in the sights, aromas, tastes, and colors of the region. You'll also get to taste some fresh fruits. Next, you'll learn to prepare one of Peru's most famous dishes, cebiche, and enjoy a tasting of Pisco Sour, the country's renowned cocktail.  Miraflores offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. Your Lima tour continues with a visit to the Bohemian neighborhood of Barranco, home to many artists, photographers, and writers. Stroll along streets lined with Republican houses, enjoy stunning views, and visit the Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs). The tour includes a stop at a coffee roastery, where you'll learn about different types of coffee and chocolate and their extraction methods. Enjoy a tasting of freshly extracted coffee after the demonstration.

Overnight in Lima.

Following a delicious breakfast, experience a seamless transfer from your hotel to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco.  Upon your arrival, a representative will be there to welcome you.  We will continue our trip toward the Sacred Valley. At 17.4 miles (28 km) from Cusco, we will reach Chinchero village, situated at an altitude of 12,375 feet (3,772 meters) above sea level. Chinchero is renowned for its beautiful and high-quality textiles, and its Sunday fair, where locals dress in traditional colorful outfits and come from nearby villages to trade goods. We will explore the Chinchero archaeological complex and visit the weavers’ workshop of Nilda Callañaupa. Twenty-eight years ago, Nilda united women who shared her passion for weaving, inspiring younger generations to reconnect with this ancestral art. Her project, which began in her yard, evolved into the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco in 1996, dedicated to preserving and commercializing exquisite textiles. Nilda Callañaupa herself will enrich our visit with her story. We will then stop for lunch at a restaurant along the way.

Overnight in Sacred Valley

 

Set out following a satisfying breakfast at your hotel, we will experience a unique moment in a rural community that has preserved its pre-Hispanic ancestral customs. The villagers will warmly welcome us, sharing their way of life, beliefs, traditions, and culture. During our visit, we'll uncover the mysteries of Andean agriculture, including the connection to Pachamama (Mother Earth), the rituals for each part of the growing season, and the use of traditional tools for planting and harvesting native products. Lunch will be served in the community.

Our journey continues to the Salt Pans of Maras. This still-operating salt mine, in use since Incan times, offers a striking contrast of the stark white salt pans against the green mountain slopes.

Finally, we will visit the archaeological site of Moray. This site, used as an agricultural testing ground, features a system of circular terraces that descend 490 feet (150 meters). It serves as a testament to the Incas' advanced agricultural techniques and their ability to create harmonious constructions with nature.

Overnight in Sacred Valley

Following your morning meal at the hotel, We will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the train station. The comfortable 360° train ride to Aguas Calientes offers spectacular views throughout the journey. Upon arrival, we will take a bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Discovered for the modern world by Hiram Bingham over a century ago, Machu Picchu is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its stunning architecture, breathtaking natural surroundings, and the energy emanating from its mysterious structures will leave you in awe. We will explore the magical citadel with a guided tour, following in the footsteps of the ancient Incas. After the tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at Café Inkaterra. Finally, we will return to Aguas Calientes train station and catch the 360° train back.

Upon arrival at Ollanta rail station, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

Overnight in Cusco

After breakfast, meet your guide and start with a visit to the nearby Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, a massive structure of enormous stones, carved and fitted together with incredible precision. A short downhill hike will bring you to San Blas, a charming neighborhood home to many renowned artists. Stroll along its cobblestone alleys and discover this area known as the artisans' quarter.

Next, you will head to Hatum Rumiyuq Street, which means "Of the Old Rock" in Quechua, where you can admire the famous Twelve-Sided Stone (Piedra de los Doce Ángulos).

A few blocks away, you will explore the Plaza de Armas (Main Square), visiting the Cathedral and admiring its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries.

You will conclude the day by visiting one of the most impressive buildings in Incan Cusco: the Korikancha (the Golden Temple), a temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, whose interior walls were once said to be covered in gold.

Explore the vibrant streets, visit local shops, or relax in one of the city's charming cafes. You can also savor traditional Peruvian cuisine at a local restaurant, take a leisurely stroll through the Plaza de Armas, or enjoy the lively atmosphere of the San Blas neighborhood

Overnight in Cusco

Enjoy your breakfast. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, proceed to your hotel.

Later this afternoon, we will begin our city tour with an exploration of Colonial Lima. First, we will visit the Main Square, where we will explore it on foot and admire the exteriors of the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the City Hall, all showcasing Lima's colonial architectural grandeur. We will tour the Cathedral, walking through its numerous chapels to discover various architectural styles and learn about Peru's religious history.

Next, we will visit the Larco Museum, an eighteenth-century Viceregal mansion housing over 3,000 years of Peru's pre-Columbian history. The museum features an exquisite collection of gold and silver jewelry and worship artifacts, as well as a famous collection of erotic ceramic tomb art that provides insights into pre-Columbian sexuality.

We will conclude the day with a farewell dinner at Café del Museo, located in the museum’s gardens.

Overnight in Lima

Early morning you will be transferred to Lima airport for your return flight home.

Planning a trip to Peru?

Visa Requirements: To enter Peru, U.S. and Canadian citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date at least six months beyond the reentry date. It's recommended to have at least two blank passport pages for entry stamps. Upon arrival in Peru, you will receive an Andean Immigration Card, which is necessary for visiting Machu Picchu. To secure entrance to Machu Picchu, travelers must provide their full passport details to Voyages Hub at least 45 days before departure. No visa is required for U.S. or Canadian citizens. Non-U.S. and non-Canadian citizens should check with the relevant consulate for specific entry requirements. Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu require full passport information. Travelers must provide these details through their online account, mobile app, or by contacting the Traveler Support Team by the Tour Finalization Date. Failure to do so may result in denied entry due to ticket scarcity and daily restrictions.

Weather: Peru encompasses the Andes Mountains, Amazon rainforest, and the dry Pacific coast, making it a year-round travel destination with significant regional and altitudinal variations in rainfall and temperatures. The ideal time to visit Peru is during the dry and cooler season from May to November, with peak tourism occurring from June to August.

Language: Spanish is the official language. Learning basic phrases can be helpful. English is spoken in tourist areas but is less common in remote regions.

Cancellation Policy

  • Starting from the booking date until 30th October, 2024, a cancellation will incur a $500 per person non-refundable/non-transferable deposit fee plus any interruption insurance costs if bought.
  • Between 31st October, 2024, and  8th January, 2025, 50% of the tour price be charged as a cancellation fee.
  • From 09th January, 2025 to 8th April, 2025, canceling will result in the full tour price being charged with no possibility of a refund.
