After breakfast, meet with the tour guide at the hotel in Johannesburg and depart to explore the vibrant sights and sounds of Soweto and Johannesburg, Africa's economic powerhouse. The tour delves into the political and historical significance of the struggle against apartheid, and visits key memorial sites, such as the Apartheid Museum, Soweto's suburbs, and informal settlements.

Our first stop is at Apartheid Museum, exploring the exhibits that cover the turbulent history of the Apartheid era in South Africa. It offers a comprehensive overview of South Africa's Apartheid era, from the onset of segregation to the implementation of the Apartheid system, and covers all of the factors that have shaped the country's 20th-century history, including the discovery of gold, black consciousness, and the first democratic elections. Next, depart for Mandela House and spend some time touring the national monument and learning about Nelson Mandela's personal life and the families that he lived with from 1946 to 1990.

Continue to the Hector Peterson Memorial, to pay respects to those who lost their lives during the Soweto uprising, and learn about the pivotal moment in the anti-Apartheid struggle.

We will stop to enjoy lunch at Sakhumzi Restaurant and then proceed to the Lesedi Cultural Village to immerse yourself in the diverse cultures that shape South Africa's modern society. With its rich African heritage, Lesedi Cultural Village offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the rainbow nation's multitude of cultures. Conclude your day with a captivating African dance performance, adding a spectacular finale to your enriching tour.

Overnight in Johannesburg

After breakfast, head east across the Highveld grasslands towards the Drakensberg mountains. Explore the stunning Three Rondavels in the Blyde River Canyon, along with other notable stops on the Panorama Route, including God's Window. Take in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Blyde River Canyon, where the Three Rondavels oversee the lush valley. Be captivated by the spectacular vistas at God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the lively local markets, sampling unique crafts and local treats. The day ends with a peaceful evening at your lodge, where you can relax and savor a delicious dinner.

Overnight in Mapumalanga

Indulge in a scrumptious breakfast and get ready for an exhilarating morning safari at the Kruger National Park, one of Africa's vast game reserves. To witness the animals in their most active state, wake up early and venture out in an open vehicle with an experienced guide, who will show you the various landscapes ranging from grassy plains to riverine forests.

During the safari, be on the lookout for the "Big Five," which includes lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos, as well as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and diverse bird species. Enhance your knowledge of the animal's habitat and behavior and get a better understanding of the delicate equilibrium of life in the African wilderness.

Once the safari is over, head back to the lodge for a relaxed lunch and some free time to unwind and appreciate the natural surroundings.

Overnight in Mapumalanga

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mpumalanga airport for your flight to Cape Town.  Upon arrival in Cape Town, transfer to the hotel. The evening is at leisure.

After breakfast, your day begins with a ferry ride across the bay to Robben Island, weather permitting. From the 17th to 20th centuries, the island was used for exile, isolation, and imprisonment. Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and museum, symbolizing the sacrifices made for freedom. A visit to Robben Island is a must when in Cape Town.

Located about 7 kilometers from Cape Town in Table Bay, Robben Island is a significant symbol of South Africa's fight against apartheid. It was once a prison for political detainees, including Nelson Mandela, for almost fifty years. Now a popular museum and tourist site, the tour begins with a 30-minute ferry ride from the V&A Waterfront, offering scenic views of Table Mountain and Cape Town's skyline.

Once on the island, a former political prisoner will guide you, sharing personal stories and providing insight into life on the island. You'll explore the prison cells, including Mandela's, and learn about the severe conditions the prisoners faced. The tour also includes a visit to the island's museum, where exhibits highlight its history and the struggle against apartheid. The entire experience lasts around 3.5 hours, including the ferry trip.

After returning to the mainland, you will drive through the city center, passing iconic landmarks like the Castle of Good Hope, built in 1666 by the Dutch East India Company, City Hall, and the Grand Parade. The route continues along Adderley Street, where you'll see St. George’s Cathedral, the seat of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and the Company Gardens. You'll also visit  Langa Township, one of the oldest and largest townships in South Africa. Here, you'll get a glimpse of daily life in a township, visit a local market, and meet with community members to learn about the challenges and opportunities facing these communities. Finally visit Table Mountain (weather permitting), where you can take a revolving cable car to the summit. From the top, marvel at panoramic views of the city, beaches, and, on a clear day, both Robben Island and Cape Point.

Overnight in Cape Town

Embark on an adventure to discover the incredible Cape of Good Hope after having breakfast.  Around 8:00 Am, meet your guide and travel along the Atlantic coast and admire the stunning scenery as you pass through Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, and Chapman's Peak. Chapman's Peak Drive is a renowned marine drive that offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the sandy bays below. The route begins at Hout Bay, a picturesque fishing harbor, and winds steeply up to Chapman's Point before descending to Noordhoek.

As you continue along Victoria Road, you'll pass through exclusive residential areas before reaching the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, a remarkable reserve that spans rugged cliffs, lush fynbos, and vast open spaces. The park is located at the very tip of the peninsula, with the Indian and Atlantic Oceans on either side. Your guide will provide an overview of the reserve upon your arrival, and you'll take the funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. As you travel through dense foliage, take in the stunning scenery on your way to the upper lighthouse.

After visiting Cape Point, head to Boulders Beach to see the penguin colony, followed by a scenic drive along Boyes Drive, where you'll see Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, which are located against the iconic Table Mountain and overlook the city of Cape Town, are the next stop.

Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace as you explore the vibrant city of Cape Town. Known as one of the most stunning cities in the world, Cape Town is situated at the southwestern tip of Africa, approximately 60 km north of Cape Point. Surrounded by the awe-inspiring Table Mountain and the vast Atlantic Ocean, the city sits in a natural bowl, offering spectacular views. Cape Town, often referred to as the Mother City, is a diverse, culturally rich, and visually striking destination that is full of life and history. There is no shortage of things to see and do, from exploring the fantastic shops at the V&A Waterfront 

Later this evening enjoy Dinner and entertainment at the Gold Restaurant, an Interactive Djembe Drumming, and 14 Dish African feast. This Cape Town restaurant is a popular restaurant that offers a unique African dining experience. The restaurant features traditional African cuisine, live entertainment, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Gold Restaurant offers a set menu that includes a variety of traditional African dishes. Today marks the end of your incredible tour of South Africa . This morning your tour concludes after breakfast. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
