Magic Water Circuit Experience with Dinner and Folk Show: USD 140 Per person
The tour begins with a hotel pickup. First, you'll visit the Reserve Park, a serene area featuring stunning neoclassical fountains with intricate designs. Located in Cercado de Lima, the park, built in 1929 and declared a Monumental Urban Environment in 1980, was designed by French architect Claude Sahut. Inside, you'll explore its 13 fountains. After visiting the Magic Circuit of the Waters, you'll head to the Paso Ranch for a buffet dinner and a captivating show featuring traditional dances from Peru's three regions. You will also enjoy a Peruvian Paso horse show. The tour concludes with a return to your hotel.
Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel before exploring the city through its food and culture, one of the most rewarding experiences. Start with a visit to a local market, where you'll discover Peruvian products and ingredients, and immerse yourself in the sights, aromas, tastes, and colors of the region. Overnight in Lima
Following a delicious breakfast, experience a seamless transfer from your hotel to Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon your arrival, a representative will be there to welcome you. We will continue our trip toward the Sacred Valley. At 17.4 miles (28 km) from Cusco, we will reach Chinchero village, situated at an altitude of 12,375 feet (3,772 meters) above sea level. Chinchero is renowned for its beautiful and high-quality textiles, and its Sunday fair, where locals dress in traditional colorful outfits and come from nearby villages to trade goods. We will explore the Chinchero archaeological complex and visit the weavers’ workshop of Nilda Callañaupa. Twenty-eight years ago, Nilda united women who shared her passion for weaving, inspiring younger generations to reconnect with this ancestral art. Her project, which began in her yard, evolved into the Center for Traditional Textiles of Cusco in 1996, dedicated to preserving and commercializing exquisite textiles. Nilda Callañaupa herself will enrich our visit with her story. We will then stop for lunch at a restaurant along the way.
Evening spent at leisure.
Overnight in Sacred Valley
Set out following a satisfying breakfast at your hotel. We will experience a unique moment in a rural community that has preserved its pre-Hispanic ancestral customs. The villagers will warmly welcome us, sharing their way of life, beliefs, traditions, and culture. During our visit, we'll uncover the mysteries of Andean agriculture, including the connection to Pachamama (Mother Earth), the rituals for each part of the growing season, and the use of traditional tools for planting and harvesting native products. Lunch will be served in the community.
Our journey continues to the Salt Pans of Maras. This still-operating salt mine, in use since Incan times, offers a striking contrast of the stark white salt pans against the green mountain slopes.
Finally, we will visit the archaeological site of Moray. This site, used as an agricultural testing ground, features a system of circular terraces that descend 490 feet (150 meters). It serves as a testament to the Incas' advanced agricultural techniques and their ability to create harmonious constructions with nature.
Overnight in Sacred Valley
Following your morning meal at the hotel, we will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to the train station. The comfortable 360° train ride to Aguas Calientes offers spectacular views throughout the journey. Upon arrival, we will take a bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Discovered for the modern world by Hiram Bingham over a century ago, Machu Picchu is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Its stunning architecture, breathtaking natural surroundings, and the energy emanating from its mysterious structures will leave you in awe. We will explore the magical citadel with a guided tour, following in the footsteps of the ancient Incas. After the tour, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at Café Inkaterra. Finally, we will return to Aguas Calientes train station and catch the 360° train back.
Upon arrival at Ollanta Rail Station, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco
After breakfast, meet your guide and start with a visit to the nearby Fortress of Sacsayhuamán, a massive structure of enormous stones, carved and fitted together with incredible precision. A short downhill hike will bring you to San Blas, a charming neighborhood home to many renowned artists. Stroll along its cobblestone alleys and discover this area known as the artisans' quarter.
Next, you will head to Hatum Rumiyuq Street, which means "Of the Old Rock" in Quechua, where you can admire the famous Twelve-Sided Stone (Piedra de los Doce Ángulos).
A few blocks away, you will explore the Plaza de Armas (Main Square), visit the Cathedral and admire its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries.
You will conclude the day by visiting one of the most impressive buildings in Incan Cusco: the Korikancha (the Golden Temple), a temple dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, whose interior walls were once said to be covered in gold.
Explore the vibrant streets, visit local shops, or relax in one of the city's charming cafes. You can also savor traditional Peruvian cuisine at a local restaurant, take a leisurely stroll through the Plaza de Armas, or enjoy the lively atmosphere of the San Blas neighborhood.
Overnight in Cusco
Enjoy your breakfast. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, proceed to your hotel.
Later this afternoon, we will begin our city tour with an exploration of Colonial Lima. First, we will visit the Main Square, where we will explore it on foot and admire the exteriors of the Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the City Hall, all showcasing Lima's colonial architectural grandeur. We will tour the Cathedral, walking through its numerous chapels to discover various architectural styles and learn about Peru's religious history.
Next, we will visit the Larco Museum, an eighteenth-century Viceregal mansion housing over 3,000 years of Peru's pre-Columbian history. The museum features an exquisite collection of gold and silver jewelry and worship artifacts, as well as a famous collection of erotic ceramic tomb art that provides insights into pre-Columbian sexuality.
