Greece, the cradle of ancient philosophy and early Christianity, comes alive through Apostle Paul's missionary footsteps. In Athens, he boldly proclaimed the “Unknown God” at Mars Hill (Areopagus), merging Greek thought with the Gospel. Bustling Corinth, a trade and moral crossroads, hosted Paul for over a year, inspiring his epistles to the church. Northern Greece shines with Thessaloniki (two NT letters), Scripture-studying Berea, Philippi (Europe's first church and Lydia's baptism), and Kavala (Paul's European entry). The journey culminates at Meteora, where monasteries perch atop soaring rocks, embodying devotion, prayer, and faith.

Planning a trip to Greece ?
Visa Requirements: Check if you need a visa to enter Greece based on your nationality. Citizens of the European Union and many other countries do not require a visa for short visits, but it's always best to verify before traveling.
Best Time to Visit: The peak tourist season in Greece is during the summer months (June to August) when the weather is hot and the islands are bustling. Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and potentially lower prices.
Currency: The currency in Greece is the Euros. Ensure you have sufficient cash or credit cards that are widely accepted. ATMs are readily available in cities and popular tourist areas.
Language: The official language is Greek, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas, hotels, and restaurants. Learning a few basic Greek phrases can be helpful and appreciated.
Transportation: Greece has a well-developed transportation system, including domestic flights, ferries, buses, and trains. Island hopping is a popular activity, and ferry services connect the islands. Plan your transportation options and book in advance during peak seasons.
Health and Safety: Ensure you have travel insurance that covers medical expenses. It's advisable to carry necessary medications, sun protection, and insect repellent. Greece is generally a safe country, but take standard precautions against pickpocketing and safeguard your belongings.
Cultural Etiquette: Greeks value politeness and respect. Familiarize yourself with basic cultural norms, such as greeting with a handshake, showing respect for religious sites, and dressing modestly when visiting churches or monasteries.
Tipping: Tipping in Greece is customary, but not mandatory. It is common to leave a small tip (around 5-10% of the total bill) at restaurants and cafes if you're satisfied with the service.
Local Customs: Greeks have a relaxed approach to time, and punctuality may not be strictly observed. Embrace the leisurely pace and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
Electrical Outlets: Greece operates on a 230V/50Hz electrical system. Bring a universal adapter if your devices have different plug types.
Drinking Water: Tap water is generally safe to drink in Greece, but if you prefer, you can opt for bottled water, which is widely available.

REVIEW
This pilgrimage exceeded every expectation we had. Walking where the Apostle Paul preached brought Scripture to life in a way we never imagined. From Mars Hill to Philippi, every site was thoughtfully planned and deeply meaningful. The hotels were comfortable, the meals were excellent, and the guides were knowledgeable and spiritually sensitive. Traveling from the U.S., we felt completely taken care of from start to finish. We returned home spiritually renewed and forever grateful for this experience.
As travelers from Canada, we appreciated how well-organized and smooth the entire journey was. The pacing was excellent, allowing time for reflection without feeling rushed. Highlights for us were Corinth, Berea, and the monasteries of Meteora—absolutely breathtaking. The daily breakfasts and included dinners made everything stress-free. This was more than a tour; it was a meaningful walk through our faith.
This trip was a blessing in every sense of the word. Our group quickly felt like family, and the welcome dinner in Athens set the tone for the entire journey. Seeing places we’ve read about for years in the Bible was incredibly moving, especially Lydia’s Baptistery and Philippi. The guides were exceptional, and the attention to detail was outstanding. We would highly recommend this tour to any North American Christian looking for a deeper connection to Scripture.
