Greetings and welcome to Nairobi! We will be eagerly awaiting your arrival at the airport to transport you to your hotel. (Standard check-in time is 3:00 pm) Once you've settled in and rested, you'll have the opportunity to explore this vibrant and captivating city, which boasts a diverse and lively commercial sector that provides a unique experience of contemporary African urban life. Nairobi is renowned as the safari capital of Africa and is surrounded by breathtaking national parks that are sure to leave you in awe. As you take in the sights and sounds of this modern capital, you are free to relax and unwind for the rest of the day.
Begin your day with an early wake-up call to savor a delectable breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi. Following that, we will set off on a journey to Kenya's lush highlands, descending the rift escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. While passing through Maasai territory, you may encounter Maasai pastoralists and their livestock living in harmony with the wildlife. By lunchtime, we will have arrived at the Masai Mara, one of Kenya's most well-known and historical safari destinations, where we will embark on the first of numerous unforgettable game drives. The diverse ecosystem is home to a broad array of game, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest (gnus), giraffes, buffaloes, jackals, topis, gazelles, impalas, and elephants, as well as numerous birds. The rivers are teeming with hippopotamuses and crocodiles. From around July to October, approximately two million animals, mostly wildebeest but also some zebras and antelopes, migrate here from the Serengeti during the renowned Great Wildebeest Migration. In the evening, enjoy a delectable dinner at the lodge.
Overnight in Masai Mara
The entire day will be spent in the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will have the opportunity to go wildlife viewing. Following a leisurely breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to explore the vast wilderness and observe the diverse wildlife. You will have the chance to witness predator-prey interactions, see majestic herds of wildebeest and zebras, and spot elusive big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Additionally, you can observe other wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and a wide range of bird species. After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relax for the remainder of the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy dinner and the opportunity to reflect on the incredible experiences of the day.
Overnight in Masai Mara
After spending an exciting time in Masai Mara, it's time to head to Lake Naivasha, another stunning destination in Kenya. After breakfast, you will depart Masai Mara and journey towards Lake Naivasha. The route passes through the scenic Rift Valley, with breathtaking views of the escarpment. Along the way, you will stop at a local village to learn about the culture and way of life of the Maasai people ( at an additional fee). You will also have a chance to shop for unique souvenirs made by local artisans.
Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake surrounded by lush greenery, and home to a variety of wildlife. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the lake, which provides an excellent opportunity for birdwatching and seeing some of the resident hippos up close. You will also visit the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary (at an extra cost), which is home to herds of zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. Enjoy a leisurely walk on the island before returning to the lodge for dinner.
Overnight in Lake Naivahsa
After a relaxing time at Lake Naivasha, it's time to continue the adventure with a journey to Amboseli National Park. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your lodge before departing for Amboseli. The drive will take you through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing by picturesque landscapes and local villages.
Upon arriving at Amboseli National Park, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch. Amboseli is known for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, its large herds of elephants, and 420 species of birds. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to explore the park and search for its diverse wildlife, which includes lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and more. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and relax under the starry African sky.
Overnight in Amboseli.
After breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive in the Amboseli National Park. This park is renowned for its picturesque views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, and its large elephant herds. The park is also home to other wildlife such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes, as well as over 420 bird species.
During your game drive, you will have a chance to witness some of Africa's most iconic animals roaming in their natural habitats. You can also take a guided nature walk with a Maasai guide who will teach you about the local flora and fauna.
In the afternoon, you will have a chance to relax at your lodge or visit a nearby Maasai village to experience their culture and way of life. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge while reminiscing about the incredible experiences of the day.
Overnight in Amboseli National Park
After an exciting wildlife adventure in Amboseli National Park, it's time to head back to Nairobi. You will have an early breakfast before departing Amboseli and heading towards Nairobi. The drive takes you through the Athi Plains and offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, weather permitting.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, check-in and relax.
Overnight in Nairobi
This marks the end of your unforgettable safari experience in Kenya, filled with lasting memories of stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural experiences. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your homeward flight.
