Conclude your trip with leisure time to bike the seawall, browse Indigenous art galleries, or relax with mountain views, capped by a farewell dinner celebrating Pacific Northwest flavors.

Itinerary

Land at Vancouver International Airport, meet your representative and enjoy a comfortable transfer into the city. Check‑in time is mid‑afternoon, so you have a few quiet hours to settle in, adjust to the time zone and take a first stroll along the lively seawall. In the early evening everyone gathers for a relaxed welcome dinner overlooking Coal Harbour, a perfect chance to meet fellow travellers while watching floatplanes glide in for the night.

Overnight in Vancouver

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your guided introduction to Vancouver—a city celebrated for its dramatic setting between mountains and sea. Your narrated coach tour winds through the city’s most distinctive neighbourhoods: cobblestoned Gastown, where the famous steam clock keeps time amid Victorian charm; bustling Chinatown, alive with heritage shops and traditional apothecaries; and the restored brick warehouses of Yaletown, now home to chic cafés and galleries. Cross to Granville Island, where artisans, buskers, and food stalls fill the Public Market with colour and flavour. Later, stroll beneath the towering cedars of Stanley Park, pausing for photos at the iconic First Nations totem poles and along the scenic seawall. Return to your hotel early in the afternoon with the rest of the day free—perhaps rent a bicycle, explore Robson Street boutiques, or relax on a sunny patio with a view of the harbour.

Overnight in Vancouver

A relaxed morning departure takes you across the Lions Gate Bridge to Vancouver’s green heart—the North Shore. Step into the temperate rainforest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, where moss-draped evergreens tower overhead and sunlight filters through the mist. Test your nerve on the gently swaying bridge above the canyon, then follow the Treetops Adventure, a network of elevated walkways suspended among 1,500-year-old Douglas firs. Learn about Indigenous history and local ecology from interpretive displays before returning downtown mid-afternoon. Spend the rest of the day as you please: perhaps browse Gastown’s designer boutiques, unwind in a café, or enjoy the ocean breeze along the waterfront promenade.

Overnight in Vancouver

This morning, embark on a narrated harbour cruise, gliding through Burrard Inlet for an exceptional perspective of Vancouver’s skyline. Pass Canada Place’s white sails, the working container port, and Stanley Park’s wooded peninsula while watching floatplanes take off against a backdrop of mountains. Back on shore, return to Granville Island, where artists’ studios, glassblowers, and gourmet stalls invite unhurried exploration. Savour lunch at your leisure and soak in the lively waterfront atmosphere. The evening is yours—perhaps dine at a seafood restaurant overlooking English Bay, or sip cocktails while the sun sets over the Pacific.

Overnight in Vancouver

Your final day is free to follow your own rhythm. Sleep late, rent a bike to circle the seawall, or visit the Museum of Anthropology to admire world-class Indigenous art. For a taste of local life, stop by a café in Mount Pleasant or browse the boutiques of Main Street. As evening falls, rejoin your group for a farewell dinner featuring the flavours of the Pacific Northwest—wild salmon, local produce, and BC wines. Share memories of mountain views, ocean breezes, and the friendly spirit of Vancouver as city lights shimmer across the harbour.

Overnight in Vancouver

Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast before your included transfer returns you to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels and thank you for exploring Canada’s west coast with us.

PLANNING A TRIP TO CANADA ?

Entry Requirement: To enter Canada (or the U.S. on the tour extension), it is essential for both U.S. and Canadian citizens to hold a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the reentry date. Non-U.S. or Canadian citizens should contact the consulate of their destination country to ascertain specific entry requirements. U.S. citizens are required to have valid government-issued identification for air travel within the United States. Starting May 7, 2025, state-issued IDs or driver's licenses for air travel must meet Real ID requirements. Real ID-compliant versions will display a yellow or black star, a white star inside a yellow or black circle, or a white star inside a bear in the top right-hand corner. Further information can be found at dhs.gov. Similarly, Canadian citizens must have valid government-issued identification for air travel within Canada.

Baggage: It's crucial to note that each traveler is limited to one checked bag and one carry-on bag due to limited storage space on motor coaches and other modes of transportation, including train connections or flights, that are part of the tour. For specific information regarding baggage size and weight restrictions, including details about on-tour flights and round-trip flights to and from the tour, kindly reach out to your airline(s) directly. Please be aware that the baggage limits for the included on-tour flights may be more stringent. Additionally, some airlines may impose extra charges if you opt to check baggage or exceed size and weight limitations. It is your responsibility to cover any baggage fees incurred on all flights. To facilitate smooth travel, it is advisable to label your baggage and keep valuable items, medication, and important documents in your carry-on bag.

Packing Tips: Packing tip: It's recommended to pack lightweight and loose-fitting clothing that can be layered easily to accommodate fluctuating temperatures. Remember to include a light jacket or rainwear for unpredictable weather conditions. For spring and fall departures, enhance your comfort during outdoor sightseeing by bringing along a warm coat, hat, and gloves. Opt for materials other than cotton whenever feasible, as it is not the most effective insulator. When it comes to sightseeing, a sturdy pair of walking shoes or sneakers is advisable. If you intend to dine at upscale restaurants or attend special performances, consider packing dressier attire for such occasions.

Health: Before your departure, it's crucial to consult with your doctor or healthcare provider at least 60 days in advance to stay abreast of the latest updates and entry requirements. Additional information can also be found on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website at cdc.gov. Exercise caution during the summer months regarding sun exposure and heat, taking necessary precautions to safeguard yourself. If you rely on daily medication, ensure you have an ample supply for the entire duration of the tour, considering potential delays. For those with dietary restrictions or food allergies, please inform Voyages Hub at least 30 days before departure by updating your traveler information in your account. If you need to make updates closer to your departure date, kindly contact our Customer Experience Team..

Cuisine: The culinary landscape in Canada exhibits numerous resemblances to British cuisine, and Americans will recognize several familiar elements as well. While in Canada, it's recommended to explore local favorites like butter tarts, poutine, and dishes infused with maple syrup.

Health and Insurance: Consider acquiring travel insurance to safeguard against unforeseen medical expenses. Ensure you obtain any essential vaccinations as advised by your healthcare provider.

Currency: The official currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar (CAD). It's recommended to carry some cash, but credit cards are widely acknowledged.

Language: Canada recognizes two official languages, namely English and French. While English is the primary language spoken in most areas, French predominates in Quebec and some parts of other provinces.

Electrical Outlets: Canada operates on a standard voltage of 120V, and the plugs commonly used are of type A and B. If your devices require a different voltage or plug type, it is advisable to bring suitable adapters.

Wifi: While Wi-Fi is typically provided by most hotels, there could be associated fees in specific instances. Motor coaches, however, do not have Wi-Fi availability. If you need information regarding roaming charges, please contact your mobile service provider.

Time Zones: Canada spans various time zones due to its extensive geographical size. The time zones in Canada include:

  1. Pacific Standard Time (PST) - UTC-8:00 (observed in parts of British Columbia)
  2. Mountain Standard Time (MST) - UTC-7:00 (observed in Alberta)
  3. Central Standard Time (CST) - UTC-6:00 (observed in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, part of Ontario)
  4. Eastern Standard Time (EST) - UTC-5:00 (observed in most of Ontario, Quebec, and parts of Nunavut)
  5. Atlantic Standard Time (AST) - UTC-4:00 (observed in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Labrador)
  6. Newfoundland Standard Time (NST) - UTC-3:30 (observed in Newfoundland and Labrador)

It's important to note that some regions in Canada observe daylight saving time, where clocks are adjusted forward by one hour in the spring and set back by one hour in the fall. The application of daylight saving time can vary by province and territory.

Tipping and Gratuity: After your tour, it is customary to give a gratuity to your Tour Director and driver in the local currency. When providing tips, please take into account the prevailing exchange rates. We recommend tipping your Tour Director an equivalent of USD 8 to USD 10 per person per day and your driver an equivalent of USD 3 per person per day. If you had local guides during the tour, it is also suggested to give them an amount equal to USD 2 per person. Please be aware that gratuities can only be settled in cash.
